Shri Shripad Yesso Naik, Union Minister of State [I/C], Ministry of AYUSH Inaugurates Ayuryog Expo 2019

The first edition of Ayuryog Expo 2019 being held concurrently held with Biofach India opened today at India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida. Shri Shripad Yesso Naik, Union Minister of State [I/C], Ministry of AYUSH was the Chief Guest to inaugurate the expo.  Dr. Mahesh Sharma, Member of Parliament was the Guest of Honour and Padmashri Dr HR.Nagendra [Guruji] and Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH presided over the event.


The other dignitaries present during inauguration included Vaidya Devendra Triguna [Vice Chairman, AyurYog Expo Steering Committee], Dr. Smt. Hansa Jayadeva Yogendra, Vishwaguru Mahamandaleshwar Paramhans Sri Swami Maheshwarananda Puri,  Padamshri Swami Bharat Bhushan, Jain Acharya, Dr. Lokesh, and Shri Rakesh Kumar, Chairman – India Exposition Mart Ltd. 


While inaugurating the Ayuryog Expo 2019 Shri Shripad Yesso Naik said “This (AYURYOG EXPO 2019) is a great opportunity to spread the word about the Indian System of medicine globally. Ayurveda is considered by many scholars as the oldest healing science. It is often called the mother of all healing.”

Welcoming the dignitaries during first edition of Ayuryog Expo 2019 Shri Rakesh Kumar, Chairman – India Exposition Mart Ltd welcomed all the dignitaries and went on to say: “I would also like to welcome all the speakers who have come to make AYURYOG EXPO 2019 the Mahakumbh of Wellness. Thank you for coming from across the world and blessing us”.


Dr HR Nagendra, President, Indian Yoga Association said, “The challenge is how to integrate the system into a common platform. This will pave the way to integrate allopathy and all systems, because no single system will be able to cope with the challenges of modern society. You have to have a pluralistic system”.

Padmashree and Padmabhushan awardee, Vaidya Devendra Triguna, President, All India Ayurveda Congress also spoke on the occasion and said, “We want to achieve a method of medicine from yoga, ayurved and naturopathy, which will give good health to the entire world in a most cost-effective way”.

Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary AYUSH, Govt of India said, “We are working with WHO in so many fronts. Recently we signed an MoU with them to develop a benchmark document for Yoga, Ayurveda and Naturopathy”.

Member of Parliament, Dr Mahesh Sharma, in speech said, “Yoga is worldwide. Ayurveda has a history of thousands of years. It has a home in India”.

An MoU between IYA and IEML was also exchanged on stage during the event.

Ayuryog Expo 2019 day is the world’s first event which spans the wellness universe and includes Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy in which all Yogis, Gurus, experts and eminent personalities connected to Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy were on the stage set for grand inauguration.

Exhibitors from all over the world will be highlighting and displaying  their specialized products for all to see and experience.

The general sessions and specific scientific sessions held by Yogrishi Swami Ramdev ji Maharaj and Sri Sri Ravi Shankar are the main highlights during the four days extravaganza.

Other highlights of the event during all days will be Four plenary and technical sessions in which  eminent persons including  Dr HR Nagendra; Padma Bhushan Dr. David Frawley; Padma Bhushan Vaidya Devendra Triguna; Maa Dr Smt Hansaji Jayadeva Yogendra; Padamsri Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha; Dr Lorenzo Cohen; Dr Sat Bir Singh Khalsa; Antonietta Rozzi; Dr Vasant Lad; and Dr Duan Gang, will be delivering lectures in their respective fields.

Special sessions focusing on Yoga Education and Value Education targeted at school going students, to enrich their minds and help them achieve more fulfilling and healthy lifestyles are one of the main and important attractions of the Ayuryog Expo 2019.


The event is being organized by the India Exposition Mart Limited (IEML) along with the Export Promotion Council of Handicraft (EPCH) with support from the India Yoga Association (IYA), All India Ayurvedic Congress (AIAC), Centre for Innovation in Science and Social Action (CISSA), and Indian Naturopathy & Yoga Graduates’ Medical Association (INYGMA).

Ayuryog Expo 2019 is being held concurrently with BIOFACH INDIA, the country’s largest and most focused event for organic products which aims to provide the perfect business platform to organic stakeholders, retailers, exporters / importers, Govt. boards, state pavilions, certification bodies, consultants and associations from India and all over the world to congregate for networking.

The last edition of BIOFACH INDIA saw over 6000 trade visitors and consumers and over 200 brands participating. The show attracts a wide array of products on display covering verticals such as food, beverages, spices, natural care and wellness and textiles.

BIOFACH INDIA is organised by NuernbergMesse India in cooperation with APEDA.

  1. Yoga and Ayurveda are an essential aspect of Indian culture since ancient ages. I am glad that there are organizations who come up with such exhibitions to make more and more people aware of it.

  2. While we are the western culture and medicine.. people from the west are keen to learn and adapt to the ancient Indian methodology of healthy living. thank u for bringing this to light.
